Friday the 13th in Port Dover, ON - Mark your calendar, because this is an event like no other!

Each Friday the 13th throughout the year, over 50,000 motorcycle riders and 200,000 enthusiasts gather in the small fishing village of Port Dover, Ontario. During this event, this town goes from a population of 5,500 to over 250,000. People come from everywhere making it one of the largest biking events.

It all started in 1971, when Chris Simons received his first motorcycle from his father and began developing a life-long passion for bikes. He owned a bike shop in Port Dover called “Biker’s Delight”. On November 13, 1971, Chris and a group of approximately 25 friends on their bikes got together at the Commercial Hotel (now known at Angelos of Dover). They had such a great time that they decided to make it a tradition and do it every Friday the 13th.

Through word of mouth, more and more people began finding out about this event. Over the years, the attendance has continued to increase making it the event it is today.
